The WheelHouse Auto

Your Game Plan

Your yard and your workshop, on one website that runs itself

Here is your new website, three ways we can take it, and what each one does for the yard and the workshop, with the costs.

You asked

  1. How to upload your cars for sale onto the website.
  2. The password for your staff login. That is in my email, not on this page, so it stays private.

Your new website

Two doors: the Yard and the Workshop

Your yard and your workshop are two sides of one business, so the site treats them like two brands teaming up. The first thing people see is two doors, joined by your wheel logo: the Yard in red and the Workshop in white. Tap one and it opens into its own world.

Your cars for sale come first, each with its own page: all the photos, price, kilometres, your description, a call button and an Ask about this car form.

When you post a car on Facebook, it comes onto the website with its photos. When you comment "This is now SOLD", it moves to the sold cars. You never type a car in twice.

Sold cars sit small at the bottom, each saying "Sold, view our stock". Someone who searches Google for a car you have sold can still find you, and lands on what you have now. Everyone who comes to look at your cars also sees your workshop.

Three ways to go

The new website

$599

one-off setup

$79 a month

the same as you pay now

The website above, with your cars on it.

  • A page for every car, with photos, price, kilometres and your description
  • Cars added from your Facebook posts by themselves, and moved to sold when you comment "This is now SOLD"
  • A CIN card on every car's page
  • Workshop bookings online, as you have now
What I recommend2

The yard and workshop system

$1,999

one-off setup

$149 a month

Everything in option 1, plus a place behind the scenes to run both sides.

The yard

  • Every buyer and every car you have sold, kept for the six years a dealer has to keep sale records
  • A link you text or email to a buyer, so they fill in their own details
  • The sale agreement and CIN card printed, ready to sign

The workshop

  • Every customer and their car saved the moment they book, with the history of every job
  • Walk-ins added in a few seconds
  • Emails that go out by themselves when a service is due

Both together

  • When you sell a car, the buyer becomes a workshop customer
  • Two weeks later they get a "How is the car going?" email
  • Later, a reminder to book their first service with you
3

The full system

$4,500

one-off setup

$249 a month

Everything in option 2, plus the whole workshop office.

  • Job cards on your phone, with photos and notes
  • Quotes sent as a link the customer approves before you start extra work
  • Invoices and payments, connected to your accounts
  • Text reminders for services and WOF repairs
  • A reward for customers who keep coming back, set the way you want it
  • Reports on what the workshop and the yard are bringing in

Start with option 2 and the $1,999 counts toward this later.

All prices plus GST.

    How option 2 gets built

    1. Week 1

      Your new website goes live

      We build
      • The new website replaces the current one, on your same address
      • Your cars, the sold cars and a CIN card on every car's page
      From you
Add C.E.A Smith as a partner on your Facebook Page, so your posts come across. I can walk you through it in two minutes.
    2. Week 2

The yard and the workshop behind the scenes

      We build
      • Your buyer list, sale records and the buyer details link
      • Your sale agreement and CIN card ready to print
      • Workshop customers saved from bookings, and the follow-up emails switched on
      From you
Send me a copy of the sale agreement you use now, so yours looks like yours.

    Your questions

How do I put cars on the website?

You post them on Facebook like you do now. With any of the three options, they come onto the website by themselves.

Do I have to type my customers in?

No. Anyone who books online is saved with their car. Walk-ins take a few seconds. Car buyers are added when you sell.

    Can I start small?

Yes. Start with option 1 or 2 and move up when the workshop is busy. What you paid for option 2 counts toward option 3.

    Is there a contract?

No. The monthly fee covers hosting, looking after it and your changes, and you can stop any month.

    Three quick questions for you

    • Do you use a program for the workshop yet, for job cards and invoices? If not, that is something we can build you.

    • How do you do your sale agreements and CIN cards at the moment?

    • Do you use Xero or another accounts program?

    Tell me which one

Reply to my email with 1, 2 or 3, or give me a ring. These prices hold for 14 days from the day I sent this. Your current website stays exactly as it is until you say go.
